Brent and I spent an entire day touring over half a dozen race shops from Mooresville and Concord down toward Charlotte. Most of the these shops have some sort of visitor access to the garages where you can actually watch the new cars (through a plate glass window) being built for the coming season. In shops of the lesser known drivers (where crowds aren't as big a concern) you can actually physically walk up inside the garage.
After touring Hendrick Motorsports, we did the $5 Charlotte Motor Speedway tour which includes a lap around the track! Speeds aren't obviously what you'd hope, but it was still fun. Watch the video clip HERE. (30 sec 710 kb mpeg)
