Getting There
Charleston is a difficult city to drive. The city is spread out across a large peninsula and surrounded by three wide rivers which all converge into Charleston Harbor. In addition, the interchange off of Interstate 26 near the church is currently being rebuilt. Drive very carefully!
From the Charleston Airport...
To get to the hotel and church from the Charleston Airport (CHS), take International Blvd out of the airport. At the 4th stoplight, turn left onto the onramp for Interstate 526. Stay in the right lane and you will soon exit onto Interstate 26-West. Take I-26 West to exit 209 (Ashley Phosphate Road). At the end of the offramp (at the light) turn left onto Ashley Phosphate Road and stay in the right lane. At the second light turn right onto Northside Drive. The Sleep Inn will be on the left in less than a quarter of a mile. The church is about a mile ahead on the left at the end of the road.
From the West - Charlotte, Hickory, Atlanta, Asheville, Cherryville, Stanley, Dallas and Roanoke...
From Interstate 26 East, take Exit 209 (Ashley Phosphate Road) To get to the hotel, turn left at the stop sign. The hotel will be on the right in about a quarter mile. To get to the church from the interstate offramp, turn right at the stop sign. The church will be on the left at the end of the road in about a mile.
From the North - Wilmington, Raleigh, Myrtle Beach...
Take US 17 South into Mount Pleasant, SC. Exit right onto Interstate 526. After 10-15 minutes take the exit ramp for Interstate 26-West toward Columbia. Take Exit 209 for Ashley Phosphate Road. At the stop light turn left and remain in the right lane once you turn onto Ashley Phosphate Road. At the second light turn right onto Northside Drive. The Sleep Inn hotel is on the left about a quarter mile ahead. The church at the end of the road on the left approximately 1 mile ahead.
Sticky Fingers Restaurant - Rehearsal Dinner...
For those who will attend the rehearsal on Friday, you're invited to the rehearsal dinner to be held at Sticky Fingers Restaurant in North Charleston. To get to Sticky Fingers from Northside Drive, go south on Northside Drive to Ashley Phosphate Road. At the light, turn left and stay in the left lane as you cross Interstate 26. At the second light, turn left onto Northwoods Blvd. The restaurant is on the right after about a half mile.
Also while you're here...
Charleston is known across the country for its magnificent downtown. To get there from the hotel, use the following directions.
Take Interstate 26-East. After about 10-15 minutes get into the left lane. Follow signs for Meeting Street. The exit is to the left, and this is where the interstate ends. Stay on Meeting Street for about 2 miles and you'll end up in the Historic District. The old Slave Market is on the left (from Market Street). There are many parking garages, places to shop and restaurants to enjoy.
To get back to North Charleston and the hotel, get back on Meeting Street and stay in the right lane. You'll see signs for US 17 when you're getting close to Interstate 26. Follow signs for I-26 and the airport. You will turn right then go through a stop light before getting on the onramp for I-26. Due to road construction, you'll need to merge left two lanes as soon as possible! Take exit 209 (Ashley Phosphate Road) to get back to the hotel.
